OLIVIA GUETLE

LEAD VOCALS, CELLO

YouTube Page

Olivia Guetle is a native of Mansfield, OH who currently resides in Dayton.  She was involved in music from an early age, and has studied cello, piano, and vocal at various times over the years.  In 2015, she received her Master of Music in cello from Wright State University.

Olivia joined Divine Martyr officially in early 2022, and has been a breath of fresh air for the group.  Her cello abilities and vocal pop sensibility have helped to breathe new life into Divine Martyr, and have helped the band reach plateaus otherwise unattainable.

Olivia has been involved in various musical projects over the years, most recently (and currently) playing cello for the group Viva La Strings in Dayton (providing quartet services for weddings, corporate outings, and other such events).  She has also produced a number of solo pop-driven songs under her own name on YouTube.

Outside of music, Olivia has a 9-year old daughter (who keeps her incredibly busy), and is a full-time nursing student at Wright State University with hopes of achieving a specialization in women’s health.

Musically, Olivia enjoys the works of Yo Yo Ma and Andrew Bird.  Vocally she takes influence from the likes of Regina Spektor, Sia, and Bjork, but also enjoys a broad range of music including various pop, rock, and metal artists.

Equipment-wise, she enjoys rocking her Yamaha Silent Electric Cello with Divine Martyr whenever she can.
